Hardworking Saturday...
Body Combat (Lorraine) - still BC39. Was very hyper about posting about this "gem" in the gym... but malas to talk about it already. There are interesting humans around in the gym, and probably to this "gem" I am a real bitch too, hehehe.
Dance Mania (Danny) - we did Absolutely Everybody, and I met another "interesting" person today. Who was in Danny's class and erm.. she herself said that she's not good at dancing, so I'm not criticising her or anything. She asked me a question that kinda pissed me off, like, "Oh you join the gym so long already? How come I never see you around wan?" Erm... how the FCUK should I know why YOU cannot see ME? Maybe you "ngan fa"? Is that my problem? Hahaha... but of coz I didn't answer like that. And then said she always goes to his class.. so if I'm a "regular" there then surely she would've seen me. Zzz. The last DM class I went to was 2 weeks ago, and I only "noticed" her because she came in like, when there's 20 minutes left in the class and I was thinking only a person who is DAMN good would come in that late because by then Danny would've thought almost all the steps, and if you come in that late, you should be the type who can "catch up" the earlier steps damn fast. Anyway, in the end, in Danny's own words, she was "dancing to her own style". So.. maybe that's why you don't notice me.. cos I don't do stuff like that... and not my problem you don't recognise TALENT. Hahahhahaa!!
[[ This is said in a tongue in cheek manner... I am not boasting about my own skills.. but really what do you say to a question like that? I think it's quite rude to even ask such a question because you are implying yourself as someone so great and the other person as INVISIBLE. Donno why... you don't notice me, I don't care. As long as instructors notice me, buwahahahha...]]
Body Attack - Hazrin had only 3 students today so he memorised all our names to better "motivate" us. At first I'm so happy to give my name, but towards the end of the class I felt like crying everytime he asked "L**C****" to "go lower", "jump higher", "knees up", etc etc. Hahaha. And then he told Pauline and the other gal in the class not to believe me when I said that he's fierce. So throughout todays' class, he was soooo nice to all of us, tak boleh percaya, hehehehe. And then give us tips at the end of the class... and said that he encourage all of us to train harder and work better on our technique so that one day we can be instructors too...! Wah... so far-seeing. I cannot imagine the day when I can become an instructor... anyway, I've been demotivated about this for so long, I don't even want to talk about it.
Anyway, I'm really happy + proud today because... Pauline joined me for all 3 of the above classes, and tomorrow we will be going to Pavilion! And I'm honestly amazed she stuck thru Attack cos she always says she has a knee problem, but Hazrin so baik.. gave her all the low impact options and she finished the whole class and seems motivated to join Attack more often. And she liked Dance Mania too! Hopefully can tarik more people to Danny's class.... just that I don't know that many people. (Anti-social mar...)

Day 236
Whoa, I was thinking to myself that I should write about Body Combat... whether the new release would be nice or not. But guess what? I already managed to try the new release of BC!!! Hahahhaa!! Same time as those pple at California Fitness? I won't reveal where I did the new release, but suffice to say, I had no idea what was going on. I thought I was doing some tracks that I somehow or other did not manage to do because I was away on work in another country, or some bloody oldddd tracks.
My opinions on the latest release? Most of them are not memorable, but there are a few here & there that I would not mind doing for one whole month! YAyyyyy.. that means I'm motivated to do the new release and I won't "menghilangkan diri" from BC for the duration of the new releases.. hahaha.
I like the lower body workout track, So What, Johnny B. Good and the Scoooooooooter song. Hahaha, Scooter songs are the best! :) I think the cool down track is really sweet and has me in a bubbly, upbeat mood. :)
Then I went for Dance Mania (Danny's class)... we did this really cute song. Very cheery and girly... ahahha. I have no idea what the song is called... Danny said it's a Thai song, but all this while when I heard it being used for commercials, I thought it was a Korean song. Sad to say though, there are many times throughout his class where I blanked out what the next move was. Sigh.. no dance mojo today. ...
Until I went for Body Jam (Jeremy's class) back in Taipan! Woooohhh.... I am surprised I managed to remember the chorey for most of the stuff! From
Canned Heat -> Buttons
Hips Don't Lie Latin trackzzz
In The Ayer performance block
Shake It Up / Miracle block
Damn I love alllll the songs today!!! O_O
Don't regret driving back all the way from Jaya 33 back to Taipan. Although I hated driving to Jaya 33 this morning because there was a longgggg jam. Can you imagine, a 15 minute journey turned into a 45 minute one! Grrr!! Hey, you don't know how to drive, then don't drive on a Saturday morning ok!! Totally spoil other people's mood. Sigh...
For the cool down song, we did "Santa Baby", which was my first time doing it. Gosh... such a slutty dance... hahahha.

Day 214
Whoa, post 214 and today is 14th of February... happy Valentine's Day!
I'm quite sad today because I was too slack and arrived 5 minutes late for Delon's BC class. Note : for Delon's Saturday classes, you can't be 5 minutes late. You have to be like, 10 minutes early to "pa wai". :P The class was so packed, and the way that the people were kicking... let's just say I don't trust my beautiful face to be in the same room as these enthusiastic buggers. :P Ended up 20 minutes on Cardio wave and then went for breakfast. :P
Dance Mania - did this Beyonce song that is also being used in one of the Body Jam releases... the one with the hip hop performance track featuring Chris Girlfriend-Beater Brown. Danny H was very happy because there were more than 10 people in the class today, hahaa. Feel happy for him although I didn't help him. Tried to get Pauline to join, but she said that Dance Mania is too difficult. I asked her how she knew when she didn't even try. She said, "Neh... that time when I join you and then left halfway." I was like... wtf you joined us during the warm up la!! Takkan warm-up also too difficult!?!
After that was Body Attack, and seriously felt like I have been attacked. Hazrin's classes are super intense la... I think he's crazy, hahaha. After 4 tracks, you can see some new comers are dying already and for once in my life I heard him give the easier option. :P :P :P After his class was over, he asked if anyone else is going for Body Step (also taught by him). I said no because it's two intense classes back-to-back. He retorted, "What about me!?" Well, not my choice that this maniac choose to teach 2 difficult classes back-to-back eh! Hehehe. Maybe I'll try it next week... this week I have some partying to do!
Okay, happy valentine's day to all gym goers and hope you all had a fabulous day! :3

Day 210
Missed Body Combat (Pauline officially knows me as the Combat FFK-er), only went for Dance Mania (Danny H's class) and Body Attack (Hazrin's class). Yayness, Hazrin recognizes me as a "regular" in his class, padahal I only re-started Attack again recently. :P
Dance Mania --- did an old track, but really old - really cannot remember any of the steps. It was It's Raining Men, and it's a super cardio track because there are so many squat and star-jumps (jump jacks) towards the end. Quite fun, and I have to say that the few of us dancing closely together looks erm... quite professional. Hahahhaa. *syiok sendiri*
Anyway, as Danny says --- if you're interested in dancing, pls pls pls go for his classes @ 12:45pm - 1:45pm in Jaya 33, True Fitness. I think I'll seriously cry if they replace his class. I really don't think they should because it's not a "prime time" slot anyway. Most people take the opportunity to go for lunch during this time... so I reckon that it's not because people don't like his class. Just that they want to eat. T___T
Body Attack was super tiring, even though Hazrin said he was not feeling well and wouldn't be able to do the jumps. Sigh... let me tell you that whenever instructors say things like that, it's all lies. They are superhumans who, apparently when ill, can still trounce us mere mortals. Did that awful running track again, and that "I wanna jump jump jump..." song from the latest release that is guaranteed to make your kneecaps falter. Haha. Haih, got a lot of different songs, can't remember them all. Oh, thanks to Hazrin, finally realise that the legs conditioning track song is called I Can't Speak French. Hahaha. Nice! I love Girls Aloud. :)

Day 190
Sigh... woke up late for my Saturday marathon.. AGAIN. But since they swapped Body Attack and Body Pump, I figured that it was worth it to go in the afternoon and get at least 2 classes. 3 if I was still alive after Attack. Was sooooo glad that I went!
First of all Dance Mania class was super super fun. Danny did a track that I've done before ... it's Rhythm of the Night and I really love the choreography for that song. Kinda sexy, but still works up a sweat! :) I reallllllllyyy like this song, I can't help smiling throughout the class because I'm so happy!!! *cheesy*
Body Attack has a new time slot because Jason's no longer teaching. Instead, we have Hazrin! I was a bit doubtful about re-starting Body Attack with Hazrin because I've gone for his Step classes before (back in FF) and he's quite a strict guy... hehehe. Very different from Jason and his joke-y ways. Anyway, I guess I haven't gone for Hazrin's classes in a longggggg while because no, he's not super strict and no-nonsense. It was really fun and could see that he was really getting every single one of us in the class into the tracks, regardless of whether we are regulars or newbies. By the way, I term myself as "used to be a regular, but stopped for a very long while".
Since I'm not really into Attack as I am into Combat, I can't remember the tracks, but there were a few oldies there... like the "dong song" (is that correct?!!). And old moves like the basketball slide and jump shot. It was really fun lah.... but I kept taking water breaks and after the last song, was panting like a dog. Sigh... really no stamina. But still- --- proud that I managed to make it through the entire class despite temptations of walking out. Eh... new comers also stay all the way, takkan I so siasuey to walk out. :P

Day 179
I am dead proud of myself for starting my marathon Saturdays again... and the best part is that I've found something to continuously motivate me to go to Jaya33 on Saturdays!
First : how to get myself out of bed on a Saturday morning.
Solution : made a "gym date" with Pauline to go for Body Combat (Delon's class). Pauline can't say no to gym dates and Body Combat!
Second : how to continue staying on after feeling dead at Delon's class.
Solution : make another date with Pauline for a later class (Dance Mania - Danny's class), so I have to hang out at the gym until then.
Conclusion : went for BC, Body Attack and Dance Mania on Saturday! I was about 10 minutes late for Delon's class and the studio was PACKED! Insane! Therefore, didn't really enjoy myself much. The best part of the class was when he invited a member on stage to demonstrate "the perfect hook". Zomg, she was so awesome! Apparently she does kick boxing as well, and after 45 minutes or so of Combat, I feel like I can die, but she was filled with energy and kept on showing us her awesome hooks.
Body Attack --- it's been MONTHS since I went for a BA class. I seriously thought I would walk out, especially after BC. But I survived!! Yayness, although I believe I was 100% more gung ho last time. Oh, and I think I Believe is a great Attack song. Towards the end, I suddenly got more motivated, and was moving along as if my legs did not ache.
Finally, again, after MONTHS, I went for Dance Mania. Really nice song that we danced to, but I don't know the name. Gosh, was noobish after so long, but thank God the choreo felt very natural for the first 8 counts or so. It was a really fast and "aerobics" type of dance, so I felt dog tired after BC and BA, but I SURVIVED! Yay!
And for the final thing that will keep me coming to Jaya 33 on Saturdays:
I found a nice restaurant with some really tasty-sounding salads. :P
Su-Yee and Adrian kept talking about it on their blogs --- it's D'Italiane Kitchen. I didn't try any salads yet, settling on a pasta instead with some berry dream tea. It was very cosy and the service was impeccable. :P When I went home, my sister said that I should've tried the salads there because she had a chicken one that was really good.
Hmm... so I think I will keep going to Jaya33 on Saturdays til I've tried every single thing on their menu wtf.
Sigh, thinking about eating at nice places at a time when I should be watching my waistline and bank account! :P

Day 147
Okay, I ended up waking up late and missing Combat + Attack. My legs really cannot take it anyway. T_T Had to go to Desa Kepong to get my camera back as well... so that's why. I have good reasons! Not simply wanna miss classes... hehe.
But I went for Danny's Dance Mania classes... omg.. so long didn't go for it. T_T So glad I went. It's classes like todays one that make me sooooooooo addicted to Dance Mania. :) He did Rhythm of the Night. LOVE THE CHOREOGRAPHY.
Haih, I wish he repeated the "entire performance" a few more times. ^^

Day 134
Was late for back-to-back Funky Line & Dance Mania, so I worked out for 15 minutes on the Cardio Wave machine, before going for Dance Mania (Ronicia). Her classes are ALWAYS superbly packed! Super support from everyone else! Ha a lot of fun, but can't remember what songs we did! Ended with a "partnering off" to the tune of various Thai songs. One of them was re-made by the Chinese group "Grasshoppers". Forgot the name!
Next week is black & white day - white top & black pants. Please remember! She says we will be doing songs like Hey Big Spender! Does that sound delicious or what? :)

Day 133
Do- do you got a first aid kit handy?
I went for 3 back-to-back classes on Saturday. Am I right to say that the stamina-filled Leech is BACK IN THE GAME or what!! :D :D :D
Started with 45 minutes of Body Combat with Delon. =) *happy*
Then 1 hour of Body Attack with Jason that I was initially not sure whether I ought to attend or not. On one hand, I need the exercise. On the other, I was already quite whacked from BC. Anyway, I went for it and I'M SO GLAD I DID! I LOVE BODY ATTACK! It was a GREATTTTT workout and I really pushed myself to the max! :) Thumbs up to Jason for making it an enjoyable class!
And finally... the class I miss the most wtf --- Dance Mania with Danny H. Ooh, got miss your loyal student or not wtf. -__- We did samba, which was really, really fun... love all the chorey... and there's more "loyal members" in the class now. =) I think classes on Saturday are going to be much much more fun after this!

Day 132
Well. I've not been any more relaxed after working in Cambodia.. things have been... happening. Hence I can't leave on-the-dot and rush for my fave classes anymore. Some how managed to make it on time for Dance Mania (Ronicia's class!). As usual, it was absolutely fun and I had a blast shaking, shimmying and jamming away to the various songs. Among the head-bopping and body-pumping songs we had :
~ YMCA
~ Livin' La Vida Loca
~ Impacto
~ Tambourine
~ Dance (Fatman Scoop, Goleo)
...
I can't remember! Hahaha... anyway I've been eating a lot recently because one after another of my team members keep treating us to lunch. :) On the up side, I've been saving lots of moolah because of that AND giving my tastebuds a treat. On the down side, my weight keeps yoyo-ing up and down! Sigh... need to starve self la...
I saw on the gym signboard - "Lose 5kg in ONE month" and that's really tempting isn't it? Especially since I gained that amount in TWO months? But--- it is losing that amount of weight doing Bikram's Hot Yoga which hells no am I willing to put myself through again. How to lose the 5kg la? By fainting all the way? T____T

Day 120
I think I'm crazy! I went for a tennis lesson in Bangsar Sports Complex, and then spent another 3 hours at the gym! Nuts!! Yeah I know I'm fat, doesn't mean that I should work like freaking so much in a span of a day right. I got even more sad when I went out with a new colleague recently, and she's 164cm tall, but wants to weigh 45kg! She's currently 47kg!! When I asked her why she wants to lose more weight, she said, "Cos I'm still plump now." Then stupid Mr AIP said, "Ooh.. now you have insulted LeeCheng..." WTF. Actually yalar, how to not feel insulted? I'm only 158cm but I'm over 50kg ler. Now you know.
I think one of the main reasons why I like tennis is because if you're freaking 45kg and 164cm you probably won't be able to return the serves powerfully. Does Maria Sharapova / Venus & Serena Williams / Martina Hingis look like anaroxic people to you?
When I reached Jaya33, I had BREAKFAST at Subway... then went for Body Combat. Delon was 30 minutes late, triggering speculation that he's stuck in the oh-so-stupid police block on the Federal Highway. Seriously, just let people protest without making a big show of force... you just make yourself look lamer by trying all these tactics to stop people going to the demonstration, and then failing to stop them! Have you people NOT read 48 Laws of Power?
Delon did 12 tracks to "balas balik" his lateness... damn tiring!! Don't know why that aunty thought of such a "punishment" for him... gosh! But it was a really cool class, he's another instructor that likes to do a mix of old & new tracks... this is a rare thing in True Fitness. Some of the old tracks include :
~ Bagpipes (my favorite ler, I think I know 95% of the chorey already)
~ Hymns
~ I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)
... I kinda forgot! Hehehe, but it's a really good class, and he did Welcome to the Black Parade! The cues were right on time, wonderful! Er... he kept calling me instructor... donno whether he's being sarcastic or what... T___T What did I doooooo??? :( :( And he even updated us all on Adrian's condition... aka he is currently exercising his fingers on video games, kekeke. Pooooor Adrian, btw my sister is really impressed that you are now a BC instructor... hehehe.
Delon actually went to another studio to teach his "extended BC" lesson, so I could only attend 30 minutes of Jason's Body Attack class after that. When I went in, they were already doing the "conditioning" track - Who's Your Daddy? Another good class, although my legs could already barely move after BC! Think Jason was already really tired as our cool down track (Do You Know? (The Ping Pong Song) consisted of : lying on our backs for 45 seconds, then stretching right leg, stretching left leg, the end. Wtf. :P :P
Final class for the day was Dance Mania with Danny... before that did 3 sets of triceps extension (must not neglect my triceps!!!). Wanted to beg him to do something simple & sexy, mana tahu he came in saying he gained weight from CNY, so he wants to teach a track that "shakes everything". !!!! Anyway the dance had damn nice choreography!! Me likes!! We danced to mostly Dance (Fatman Scoop & Goleo), but for the final "performance", we danced to Calfornia Dreamin' (Benny Benassi mix).
Thus ends today's workout... wanted to faint already during Dance Mania class because I was so so so tired & sleepy & HUNGRY. I don't understand why I was HUNGRY when I had already eaten at Subway for breakfast?? Sheesh.... appetite of a lion, and I wonder why I'm over 50kg. *sobs*

Day 118
Valentine's Day was spent at the gym, 2 hours with Ronicia! Most of the songs she did for Funky Line were ones that I had learned before - What Time Is It?, Sexy Back, Girlfriend... yay Leech the expert! I so love the choreography for all of it la.. this is why I leave work on-the-dot on Thursdays and speed to Taipan...
There was a distinctive chinese song trend for Dance Mania, and despite Ronicia saying, "this is my grandmother / grandfather time song..." don't believe her! Unless you think her grandma and grandpa like to "feng tao" also.. kekeke. Dance Mania is really crazy, you can sweat truckloads here because you NEVER stop moving.
In other news, I'm aching all over, thanks to Hot Yoga. Unbelievable, Yoga can cause me joint aches when Combat doesn't! @_@
Over the period of a DAY I seemed to have gained 1kg, I really don't know if I should do weight training now... ish.

Day 114
AGAIN... despite good intentions to go for BC on a Saturday morning, I decided to sleep in a little more and skip it. :P
After getting the saman-that-I-don't-intend-to-pay-for I decided to be good and park in Jaya 33 and make the people there richer instead of collecting samans. Seriously, I think the pple in Jaya 33 have been calling up the police to saman those parking at the residential areas so that they can get more money from collecting parking fees. #@$@#%@#%#@ My theory that is EXTREMELY logical.
Went for Body Attack, Jason's not around, replaced by Eric Y who is someone who has SUPERB stamina. Seriously, at the end of the class, he doesn't even look tired! (Not to say that he Jason always looks tired, he just likes to act like he's all out of breath and dying). Again, did a mixture of old and new tracks. Since I'm not an old-hand at Body Attack, cannot comment on what the tracks he did were. :P
Dance Mania after that ... Danny was super happy because there were so many new comers for his class. So dramatic!!! Us familiar faces not enough for you issit wtf.
Don't know the name of the song he did .... since there were lots of new comers, he just stuck with the same "slowest beat" song so that they won't feel rushed. I DAMN LOVE THIS CHOREO!! For once in my life I actually didn't struggle to remember the steps because each 8 count of steps seem to flow naturally into the other one. Hard to explain, it's like the body wants to move in that direction, and is already moving in that direction before the brain remembers what the next step is. So intuitive!!
As usual, he picked the "dance a bit better than the rest" to dance in a pyramid... erm... acknowledging our needs to become performers. ;) And DAMN we looked good!!! Seriously lor... shit, I love dancing la. Can you imagine doing a "performance" with like Body Step / Body Pump (no offense).. it's just not the same.
Come on let's dance! :D :D :D :D :D :D D: D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Day 108
Blogging this on Sunday, but this is my usual Saturday work out at Jaya 33. No mood to blog much about it (more on that later)... about the work out first :
1) Woke up late for Body Combat, so I SKIPPED it as usual
2) Went for Body Attack where Jason did the entire new release. Just realised the "Who's Your Daddy" song is DAMN nice but all those push ups are BLOODY TORTUROUS!
3) Went for Dance Mania with Danny, and this time we did a really nice choreo & simple to do as well. It's a "tribal" kind of choreo, with fierce and outrageous movements. There were only 6 of us in his class, so we did all kinds of formations ("v", circle, mixture of both, face-offs, etc). It was BLOODY FUN! Please join his class on Saturday, it's really fun and we need more people! :D
Anyway, the sad part is I kena saman for parking at my "usual" parking spot which is near the residential area of Seksyen 13. Bloody hell! Can you imagine residents with more than 2 cars? They won't be able to park anywhere legally! WTF! I'm so mad now. I refuse to pay for that saman. There's no LEGAL place to park near residential area? What if the authorities decide to saman me for parking under the tree outside my house? Should I build a parking spot IN THE SKY to put my car?!!?
REFUSE TO PAY REFUSE TO PAY REFUSE TO PAY.
Some more it's like RM100!!
Anyway, I refuse to pay but I don't wanna wind up with 1000 samans, so I'll have to park at JAya33 from now onwards, which I REALLY am reluctant to do because the stupid parking lot has such NARROW ways to navigate. Seriously... I think a Storm would have trouble going up the slope. Fuck la. Kena saman or get scratches on my car? Wtf.
Maybe I'll just go to Jaya 33 less often... which I LAGI reluctant to do cos I fcukin love that place. *sigh*

Day 107
I've been deprived of dancing... imagine my joy at the prospect of dancing non-stop for a straight TWO hours!!! Who else would have such a class if not Ronicia! My boss and my senior were not around today, so I dashed out of work at 5:45pm. Was in time for Funky Line, and followed up with Dance Mania (which Ronicia calls "Power of Dance").
What can I say... for some reason nowadays I'm less confident about my movement. Feel like I can't remember the dance sequences and I can't imagine why. But going for her class brought back my confidence because the steps were easy and most of all FREAKING FUN!! I was beaming throughout two hours... so happy to have my dancing shoes on again. :)
My favorite funky line movement has gotta be for Avril Lavigne ft Lil' Mama's Girlfriend. The dance steps are to intimidate and somewhat... to cheer someone on also. It's very nice. And when we do it non-stop around the classroom, it's damn nice. Can you imagine a mob of ladies going after someone and telling them "hey hey you you, I don't like your girlfriend?"
Kinda scary actually. :P
And I love Fatman Scoop & Crooklyn Clan's Dance for cooldown. Did it before in Jaya 33 so was more familiar with the steps here. Again, I like rather "aggressive" kinda dance moves, so this one was nice too. Oh, and the remix Sexyback was kinda fun once we all got the hang of the moves!
Dance Mania theme today was more of ... oldies. We had Footloose, Jitterbug (Wake Me Up Before You Go Go) among other early 2000s stuff like Ricky Martin and Las Ketchup. HAhaha, I had so forgotten the Las Ketchup dance! It's kinda stupid but fun to do.
My legs are aching now... and guess what? More dance tomorrow! Hope Jason won't do any new tracks ady... sick of it! :p

Day 104
I vowed to myself not to do marathon-classes on Saturdays as often. Kinda wastes my Saturday away --- not to say that exercising is not good --- but too much of it can make you get bored with something quickly and you start resenting the gym instead.
Anyway --- my calf is not so strong now - best not to stress it. :(
Right. Went for Body Attack (Jason's class)... my god, by the 3rd track or so I was suffering ady. Even "jog in place" was killing my calf. Anyway, he did the new release for BA... starting to like it more and more, especially Wind It Up. =)
After that, went for Dance Mania (Danny's class) ... first time in at least a month! Omg... I miss this class soooooooo much. I thought Danny already forgot me. T_T And he said that he would be doing an "old song, old routine", so I thought I ought to know the steps, cos I think I only missed a few classes since he started teaching in Jaya33? But it was a song & choreo that I totally didn't know - Kylie Minogue's Can't Get You Outta My Head. It was a "robotic" movement kinda dance, quite difficult lor!
To be honest, I still can't remember the choreo, right til the end of the class. :P And the embarrassing part is that at the end of the class, where Danny caters to our "inner performers", he selected me among 5-6 others to dance in position coz supposedly we "dance a bit better than the rest". I was going "wtf WTF wtfFF!!" cos the entire class I was seriously damn behind in the movements - couldn't remember what I was doing and not doing it technically correctly too. :P Maybe he just layan cuz he knows I always goes for his class and if I don't get selected I'll boycott. :P Nah... I was really hoping I won't get selected because I knew I'd screw up...
And of coz the first run-through I screwed up so badly. Kinda forgot the moves after the first 8 counts! :D Kena marah!! :P So then he rearranged us and then he said he'll partner me. -___- Giving me extra pressure la...
But anyway, after that I really forced myself to concentrate (despite my left calf / ankle) and I think was managing to "bluff" my way through the next few rounds. :) And I think it was a decent showing... hehehe. So thanks to Danny for somehow forcing me to learn the choreo and believing in me... *this sounds so kua cheong & dramatic*
:)
This is why I love Dance Mania classes. Incidentally, we'll be having Ronicia in Taipan on Thursdays! Perfect! I did mention that I love her DM classes and now I get to go to her classes too. Muah! :)

Day 97
Hey hey, I haven't been blogging for quite a while due to a few reasons:
~ still recovering from flu & fever
~ trying to pack for my 3 week **blissful** trip to the States.
Regardless, I didn't want my boyfriend to meet a suddenly-gained-10kg me, so I dragged myself to Jaya 33 for my weekend must haves - Body Attack with Jason and Dance Mania with Danny.
I must be out of my mind because I ate a HEAVY breakfast (heavy = a Subway meal!) for breakfast, THEN took my "will make you drowsy" flu medication AND cough syrup AND panadol and THEN went for Body Attack. Really asking for trouble right?
After the warm up track (the track was almost the same as the week before, he did a different final track though - Listen to you Heart), I was already warning myself to go easy. By the second track, felt like fainting or puking or BOTH! So I went to the side to sit down, since I knew that the next track was going to be the lunges. Crazy Jason told me to get up and not laze. -__-" So pushed pushed pushed myself lor. At times really felt like my head is swimming and I don't know what is going on... I know I was doing nonsense at the final track already. HAhaha. Was so out of it. Don't know how I survived that class also. :P
For Dance Mania, Danny taught hip hop... quite difficult la. Was struggling to remember the moves. Seriously, by the 2nd 8 counts I was already lost. Usually I am ok til the 4th - 5th la. Struggling to remember steps like having to remember how to breathe. Anyway, Danny said the original dance (we danced to a bit of Kelly Rowlands Like This, but most of the time was to a Malay song which I don't know the name).
Haih, I'm never doing this again!! (taking medicine before classes)
But you know what? My "sickness" is almost fully cured now.. just some lingering sore throat and headache.. (but this is prolly cos I walked around in the sun so much today) and I am sure I can go for the theme class on Monday AND Terence's "crazy combat class". :)
*happy, healthy, hedonistic*

Day 95
Saturday --- couldn't get up early for Boot Camp Workout again. *paiseh*paiseh* Anyway, wanted to sleep in so that I had energy to party on Sat night. =-) Still, managed to make it to Jaya33 for my "Saturday Staples" -Body Attack
Body Attack had the same tracks as the previous week (I think Jason is going to stick with the track list until the new release comes out), except he didn't do Layla for the final cardio track. *sad* I really like Layla! Class was not as intense as usual because approximately 95% of the participants that day were newcomers. Myself was feeling tired from Friday, so didn't really start pushing myself until AFTER the lunges track. =p
Talking about Jason, I was teasing Cindy about how the cleaner went into Jason's class and then asked Cindy to teach her how to do Body Jam some more. Cindy got damn 9 riled up and said, "YALAH! IT'S ALL JASON'S FAULT OK!" Apparently the previous week, the cleaner was standing outside the studio and just observing the dancing and Jason himself was the one that said, "Kakak... kakak kalau mau join, masuk saja lah! Kekeke!!" (Kakak, if you want to join us, feel free to coome in). So of course the next week she took Jason up on the offer and went into the studio. Lol lol lol.
After the class, one of the participants came up to talk to me... turned out it was Lay Choo! A friend I knew back from college days! She recently switched from FF to TF because it's nearer to her workplace and cheaper (in the long run). She's stepping out of her comfort zone of being a hardcore RPM-er to trying other stuff. So far she has done BC and BA only... trying to encourage her to take up all the dance classes! "Very the fun!!" Hopefully she will become a Saturday-Jaya33 gym kaki. Hehehe.
Dance Mania up next. Dunno why whenever I bump into Danny outside the class he is sniggering away AT me. >=\ Don't be mean! :P He didn't do Latin this time, he did... erm... "puppet pop" that's what I'd call it. Kinda stiff dancing, yet loose limbed in a way --- it's very difficult ok! Think N*Sync in their Bye Bye Bye video. This was one chorey that until the end of the class, I still hadn't executed a full performance with NO errors. We danced to 2 songs - one was Madonna's Die Another Day, the other (the "faster" version) was a chinese song about love... hehe. Tak tahu la. For the "final performance" of the day, he asked whether we wanted to dance to the slow or fast one. Since there were a lot of newbies, we did the slow one, which is a mistake ok! Cos Madonna's Die Another Day has a lot of sudden pauses and all that, so we could only dance TWO full rounds to that song. I'm sure with the chinese song we can dance at least 4 times. =\ So that's why lor, end up not enough practice + difficult chorey = no perfect performance from the students. =] But it's still loadsa fun, and no doubt it's a different style of dancing pop!

Day 92
I like my weekends to be like me... lazy! =) Such a happy, easygoing day today. Had to go to Paramount Gardens today to visit my optician, it is so near to Jaya 33, so it was really convenient. Had a good breakfast after my appointment, had time to tapau lo mai kai for lunch too. :P Hehe, it's been AGES since I last ate lo mai kai. =D
Anyway, reached the gym in time for Body Attack with Jason. I met a newcomer who was had only done RPM and Body Combat before this. She was a bit hesitant on joining the class, I think I conned her into staying by saying that the choreo is damn easy, just need to have lots of stamina (and I did tell her she didn't need to go "all out", just pace herself). Mwhahaha. After the 4th track or so she was giving me dirty looks. =p But she stayed til the end of the class and she looked happy... and glowing! :P
The track listing... just about the same as the week before. The class was really really fun, and I love it that the cool down track is now Twista ft Faith Evan's Hope instead of the Robbie Williams song.
1. Don't like Robbie
2. Hope is a really uplifting and positive song, more meaningful for a Saturday morning, haha.
Yes! Danny is back for Dance Mania. =) He asked me if I was sure I could dance with spectacles on. -__________________- Don't discriminate me, yo! Anyway, it was a good class... a Latin track! We danced to Conga (Gloria Estefan). Ok la, I still prefer the bellydancing class he did and Chelo's Cha Cha. This conga one had too many of those twisting leg movements, the one where one knee must be placed in front of the other... ya, one of my most hated steps (2nd after bodyroll.. lol). Perhaps one day when I'm feeling industrious I'll actually go and practice. =p After all, I *used* to hate grapevine and a lot of other steps that are now sap sap sui (*actions*)...
Drove back to Taipan for Anthony's Body Jam class. My first class with him! He seems like a friendly guy, an excellent dancer who adds his own flava to the choreo. Sadly for me he did the performance track from Body Jam 38, My Love for recovery (this track's choreo is damn 9 difficult, how to 'recover'?), and the warm-up + Latin from Body Jam 37. Incidentally, it's not to say I'm unfamiliar with all these 3 items, but I'm like, damn mediocre in all of it. So took the chance to "learn up" a bit more on these steps as I usually just don't bother when I don't like something. I think I'm getting better at the performance track for #38 and the Latin for #37. But My Love is still super killa (to me la)!
The only thing I have to say about Anthony's class is that sometimes I think he is looking too much at his own reflection at the back of the room, and he's not really addressing any of us. Maybe there *is* someone beautiful standing at the back of the class that I didn't see la, but otherwise it can feel really... like an outsider looking in on the class. No offense meant with this comment, just something I felt la. T____T
That's all for today... went home and been chillaxing since! Take care, still one more day of relaxation. =)

Day 88
Started the day with :
a. 20 minutes on the Cardio Wave machine (yes! success achieved! and at level 7 for 10 minutes STRAIGHT)
b. leg press (40,30,20)
c. hip adduction
d. hip abduction
e. MTS Row (10kg, 7.5kg, 5kg) - I'm damn weak la ok
f. chest press (12.5kg, 10kg,7.5kg) - getting there with these weights. Soon can increase to start at 15kg! Wow! How I've progressed! :D
g. biceps & triceps
h. abdominals (50,40,30) - altogether 100 reps.
Wanted to go for Jam, but found that it was replaced by Dance Mania with Ronicia. At first I was blur, cos it was supposed to start at 8pm.. I went down at 7:50pm, and people were already dancing frantically! Thought that it was an extension of Funky Line that Ronicia was teaching earlier, and so I waited patiently. Ronicia motioned for me to go in, but damn shy. Saw two other gals outside, and we started chatting. Since the class not yet supposed to start, we convince ourselves that couldn't be Dance Mania... but since Ronicia had no signs of stopping and the dance looked so interesting and attractive... we went in lor. :P But about 10 minutes late!!
Anyway the class is DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN nice! Seriously! Everyone seems to have a different style in teaching Dance Mania. I.e:
** Danny is one dance performance, taught step by step for one full hour to ONE song.
** Meei = crazy-ass non stop dancing for 45 minutes, and like a 30 second break before continuing the next 15 minutes. Super aerobics inspired, guaranteed to make you sweat, or break your legs doing it.
** Ernest is one dance performance (but much shorter than Danny's), repeated multiple times to different songs (about 3-5 different songs)
Ronicia's style is to have different dance steps for different songs. And we did MANY MANY MANY different songs and the dance steps are all simple, she doesn't have to cue us or anything. Well, in the end she did 16 songs, from pop (Whine Up, Give It To Me) to Latin (Objection, She Bangs) to Russian! (we did Kalinka! hahah). All different styles, a lot of chest shaking, booty shaking fun!
Loved the class la. :P Too bad she doesn't have a permanent slot in Taipan. =(
But she's such a lovable instructor, seriously feel like joining her for Funky Line on Sundays. Have NEVER had an inclination to do so because I thought it's like line dancing, but she said it has NOTHING to do with line dancing. =)
Not this Sunday though.. me going to watch Stardust. Finally! :D
