Day 354

Went for a short, 30 minute run. I found out why earlier, when I claimed I can run up to 10kph, I couldn't do it anymore... someone set the machine to calculate miles instead of km already!! Omgzz... thinking that I should start at higher speeds, I started at 8mph (I thought it was kph la) and then felt out of breath very quickly. When I went up to 10... my god, I couldn't even last one minute! Hurriedly went down to 5mph, but even then it was really difficult. In the end, I lasted mostly at about 6.5mph... I miss the km display! Someone pls switch it back!!

Day 328

Weight training day! Was a hardcore workout... about 50 minutes of weights and 20 minutes on the strider to finish up. Usually I start with cardio and end with weights, but the colleague asked me to switch it around. Last time my trainer insisted I start with cardio... both (trainer and colleague) have their own arguments. For me, naturally if I start with cardio first, weights suffer. If I start with weights, cardio suffer. Since I am trying to build strength & endurance, I think I should do weights first from now onwards...

Anyway:
chest press - maintain at 25kg, 3 sets
vertical press - maintain at 27kg
fly - up to 21.5kg for 1st set, remain at 19kg for last 2
leg press - about 40lb? or is it 40kg?
abductor and adductor - still around 35 - 40kg
prone bridge for 1.5 mins
the BA "poker face" abs workout
BA sit up challenge - 40 crunches. Then 20 crunches the "normal" way
Lat pulldowns - 21.5kg
-- another back exercise.. forgot what it's called.
Triceps overhead - 14kg for first set, 9kg for last two. Amazing in my eyes as I used to not even be able to do ONE overhead @ 9kg.
Free weights (8lb each) for overhead triceps as well and shoulders.

Day 286

Today, had to go Midvalley to change money for my impending trip OUT OF MALAYSIA... the rates there are seriously better (whether you go to Wawasan Sentosa or whatever... it is much cheaper than ANY money exchanger in Sunway Pyramid). Anyway, the point is I couldn't go to Taipan to workout, had to go to Jaya 33.

Arrived just a little too late for BC, and WAY too late for Cardio Wave, so I wound up just doing the strider for 30 minutes. Not bad, can work off at least 230 calories that way. HAhaha. Something better than nothing. Didn't feel like doing any weight training, arms still sore after the double-conditioning yesterday. Besides, I memang don't like the weight training area in Jaya 33. No doubt it's huge, but it's also packed and got damn a lot of guys. A shy girl like me dare not venture into overly-dominated territory. Hahaha!

Anyway, I freaked out the guy next to me on the strider because I kept turning to his direction to look at the Body Combat class going on (it's either turn almost 90 degrees to the right to stare into the studio or stare ahead at the restaurants opposite Jaya 33... wtf). He kept wondering why I'm looking at him... then when he realised I was looking at the class, then he also turned 90 degrees to look at the class. We both kept 'striding' like that as if we were watching a movie.

Sigh.. weird people at the gym... (myself included).

Day 271

So... today was my first day of 'infiltrating' Celebrity Fitness, and I was quite sad...

a. cos I had to work late, so I missed Dance Mix & Body Combat... I could only do cardio! Cardio was on the "Cross Ramp" machine that I talked about (when I went to CF BVII) so it was alright...

b. ... but when I wanted to do weight training I felt sooooo shy. Wanted to work out on the upper body, but the area had soooo many guys congregating there! In fact, all areas for weight training are being monopolied / dominated by the male species. I'm not sooooooo fit and succchhhhh and expert that I would dare mingle with them, so in the end... I turned tail and went home. :P Missed the largeness of my other gym + the women's workout area at this point...

c. I spied on the BC class going on and for some reason, when I walked by, everyone turned to look. Cos I think I was being n00bish and nobody does things like walking pass a studio inconspiciously to spy? Hahahaa! But I have to say that the pple in CF take their BC real seriously! They look really good doing the moves! They move with such synchronisation... it's something I haven't seen in a long time. Hahaha. People moving in sync, and a LOT of people at that. Can't wait to join their BC classes! Although one comment I would have is that they were doing new release today. Don't know if it's only for this particular instructor or for all, but it's been ages since it was released! Go back to the old tracks! Hahahha!

d. When I switched on the shower ... only cold water came out wtf. I don't know if I'm that lucky to pick the faulty shower room, but there you have it. :( And I remember the "wonderful" water pressure in CF SP... it comes and goes... (the water pressure). Quite annoying lah... and after that, I couldn't find the changing room! So I had to change into my clothes in the shower room. No wonder there were so many ladies around me who just drop their towels and parade naked around the room lah.... Sorry, me not enough confidence to do that.. kekeke. I know it's the whole "you have I have also what" thinking, but sorry la... if what I have is truly exactly the same as what you have then why do they have something called SIZES... hahaha.

At the moment, I still feel very kekok in CF, although I try to blend in. I must say, I look sooooo "in the know" when I walk in because I casually follow others.. haaha. And I did get great parking.. right in front of the shopping center entrance. Mainly because it was sooo late (I arrived at about 9:40pm) , how about other days? I don't want to park in Carrefour, I really don't think it's safe to walk over there and into the empty basement at 11pm at night...

Hopefully can make it for some classes tomorrow... otherwise this "infiltration" is going to be sooo boring. Filled with cardio and no weight training!

Day 254

My legs are a bit ache-y after yesterday's weight training workout, so I decided to not just laze at home, but go to the gym anyway for a light cardio session. 20 mere minutes on the threadmill, gradient 7.5, at 5.8kph. Light light light workout. Hope I feel better tomorrow because I wanna go for Attack!

Decided that I ought to do:
at least 3 sessions of Body Combat a week
at least 2 sessions of Body Attack a week
at least 3 dance classes a week
at least 1 class of Body Step a week
at least 1 weight training session a week

Yoga ought to figure in there some place... see!! If I don't go to the gym 7 days a week, how can I accommodate all these!?!!

Wednesday, March 11, 2009

Day 233

Left work really late, late for yoga, late for classes. Sigh.
Just 30 minutes on the strider, with the "hill climb" set. "Cascades". Not a bad workout, my legs are aching now... but it's time for funnnn!! I need to go for some dance, combat or attack classes now!! Nowwww!!!

Day 229

Am still recovering from viral food poisoning, so I decided to take it easy today. Cycled for 25 minutes using the "RAndom Hill" program on the stationary bike... tried to keep to a constant RPM of 100, but let's be honest... on those steep climbs, I went down as low as 70.

Felt like killing the total n00b next to me who kept saying to the chick next to him, "What's this? I totally can't feel anything!". Saw that he was cycling at level 3 and his resistance chart was totally flatlined.

YEAH OF COURSE YOU CAN'T FEEL ANYTHING THEN.

Get a clue?

Day 214

Whoa, post 214 and today is 14th of February... happy Valentine's Day!

I'm quite sad today because I was too slack and arrived 5 minutes late for Delon's BC class. Note : for Delon's Saturday classes, you can't be 5 minutes late. You have to be like, 10 minutes early to "pa wai". :P The class was so packed, and the way that the people were kicking... let's just say I don't trust my beautiful face to be in the same room as these enthusiastic buggers. :P Ended up 20 minutes on Cardio wave and then went for breakfast. :P

Dance Mania - did this Beyonce song that is also being used in one of the Body Jam releases... the one with the hip hop performance track featuring Chris Girlfriend-Beater Brown. Danny H was very happy because there were more than 10 people in the class today, hahaa. Feel happy for him although I didn't help him. Tried to get Pauline to join, but she said that Dance Mania is too difficult. I asked her how she knew when she didn't even try. She said, "Neh... that time when I join you and then left halfway." I was like... wtf you joined us during the warm up la!! Takkan warm-up also too difficult!?!

After that was Body Attack, and seriously felt like I have been attacked. Hazrin's classes are super intense la... I think he's crazy, hahaha. After 4 tracks, you can see some new comers are dying already and for once in my life I heard him give the easier option. :P :P :P After his class was over, he asked if anyone else is going for Body Step (also taught by him). I said no because it's two intense classes back-to-back. He retorted, "What about me!?" Well, not my choice that this maniac choose to teach 2 difficult classes back-to-back eh! Hehehe. Maybe I'll try it next week... this week I have some partying to do!

Okay, happy valentine's day to all gym goers and hope you all had a fabulous day! :3

Day 196

Weight training!
I left work quite late, so I wasn't able to go for Group X classes... don't think any of my favorites were on at that time anyway. Thought it would be ~perfect~ for weight training since it was late, therefore less people hogging machines? How wrong I was! Should remember that in January, the gym is ALWAYS packed (people all still burning with FIRE from their new year resolutions). Sigh...

Anyway, due to lack of time, I didn't train as much as I ought to. Only did :
a. 20 minutes on Cardio Wave
b. 3 sets of abductor (20, 15, 10 kg)
c. 3 sets of adductor (as above)
d. 3 sets of leg curl (as above)
e. 3 sets of leg extension (as above)
f. 3 sets of incline press (the chest press machine was taken up! Anyway, it's much easier than chest press, which I struggled with on this OTHER chest press machine - not the regular one I have. With incline press, more of a pushing motion which works your chest & triceps. Perfecto! I started with 20kg I think. The next level was 35kg... couldn't even move the damn weights! Heh!)
g. 3 sets of back row... struggled @ 19kg... so I slowly dropped til 12kg. Still couldn't... I didn't really do 3 sets TBH.

Totally missed out the biceps & abs! :O

Day 192

... and I'm back from Laos!! And very, very eager to restart my gym training and all... what with it being the new year. Still fresh with resolutions and a general need to get rid of my gut. :D

My aims are very humble... just to lose 5kg by 30 June 09 and hopefully another 2kg by the end of 31 Dec 09. Time flies, so don't be aghasted by the huge time frame. :)

My colleague at work who is also a semi-gym rat (I say semi because we are shackled to our cubicles... like, the only thing missing is the physical chains) and I have a weight loss goal for 2009. He wants to lose 8kg (from 83kg to 75kg) and I want to lose 7kg (from 5xkg to 4xkg, hahaha).

Started with cardio only today.... get the heart rate up again. Took serious discipline (and a constant reminder that I've already paid for parking so I might as well stay @ the gym longer) to go through 25 minutes of Cardio Wave, 20 minutes of the strider (at "Fat Burn" level) and 15 minutes on the threadmill at a gradient of 6.5, walking speed 5.8kph. Not bad... didn't die at the end of the training and I feel really refreshed. Especially when I got home and had a really nice Italian salad as well. Healthy living doesn't really sound so bad. Heh heh.

Anyway, I want to complain about the "Fat Burn" level on the strider. I think it's a load of crap. You key in your age and your weight, and you're given this "ideal heart rate" for burning fat. Apparently that ideal heart rate for me is 126. I achieved that heart rate within ... 5 minutes on the strider, and I think it only took that long because the machine is screwed up. (Think about it, I was already on the Cardio Wave for 25 minutes beforehand). The strider starts you off at high resistance until you've achieved the "ideal heart rate", and after that, the resistance just tapers off for you to "maintain" at that heart rate.

So you can imagine lah.. after 5 minutes I kept getting these scrolling messages telling me to slow down because my heart rate is already at a constant 156 and the resistance was practically 0. If I slowed down any more, the machine actually went into "pause" mode. Hahahhhaa. Damn stupid. Seriously, maybe I have heart problems? I don't think I'm that easily "exhausted", because if I really push myself, the heart rate can go up to 171 or something like that. 156 is actually my ideal rate because it shows that I'm going strong and not breathing too hard. My own measurements. But based on the chart at the gym, even a 10 yr old kid is not expected to have such heart rate on the machine. The highest they go to is 130 I think. Or 140.

Legs are a bit sore at the moment, think I'll take a breather tomorrow with some Hot Yoga. Was quite sad to see that Kishore is no longer an instructor... so I don't have to specifically go for Hot Yoga on Wednesdays only.

Day 176

Went to Jaya 33 before I visited Simon's mom in Cheras. Yay weekend bazaar @ Jaya 33! Yay grocery shopping at Jaya 33! :)

But the main point of this post is to say that I did 40 minutes on this strider-like thingy. Again, wasn't going all out, but worked up a good sweat. :) Proud of self. :)

Day 171

Forgot to blog about Monday night Body Combat with Terence and Lorraine. But before that, did about 10 minutes on the stepper. I think I tried the thigh toner instead of the butt workout... either way it's only 10 minutes so I doubt it makes a difference, heh.

We're still on the new release... and found out from Terence that it *is* all about vampires and all that. He gave a more ... erm... vivid description on where the vampire parts come in. I'm only really feelin' it for We Will Survive and Our Solemn Hour.

Anyway, a really fun class, really started getting the groove of the tracks. Heck, we were even encouraged to sing along for "How Far We've Come". Nice track! Easy to follow chorey too.

I really don't feel very tired after a BC class, even though I swear I go "all out". :P Which is good!! I still have a long way to go before I achieve my target weight... T___T

Day 170

Ran on the strider for 40 minutes... not bad, stamina level still there. Did 6.6 miles.. or is it km? I never figured out which metric system the machine is using.

Anyways... that's all. Gotta conserve energy for tomorrow. (Monday night BC! Yeay!)

Monday, August 25, 2008

Day 163

I really don't know where I get my energy for BC, I'm done with the class which I felt like dying in halfway, and was getting disoriented to the max towards the end, but right now I still feel super energetic and feel like I should've stayed back in the gym for Hi-Lo as well. T___T

Terence is back. :) However, most of the tracks he did... I don't know the name. There was Jump for Muay Thai which I'm beginning to realllllyyyy like for an MT track. There was Sweet Child O' Mine which for some reason, I think the choreo is damn difficult. I think it's because I'm used to doing faster back kicks thanks to tracks like Bad, but in Sweet Child O' Mine, it's still very erm... following the beats. Hard to explain. There was Sweet Dreams when he split the class into two which I kinda don't like because it's an accident waiting to happen. Hehehe. Although I do like "Crashed the Wedding" and "Girlfriend". For the jump kick track we did the lunging kick track instead, which is Tribal Dance. Eh, I really like Tribal Dance too. :3 Aside from that, don't really remember the rest of the tracks.

The conditioning track is difficult, but it's good la... I won't do all these complicated conditioning exercises by myself, so let's save the simple stuff to do on our own and have the difficult stuff in the classes. Hehehe. And cool down was When Love and Hate Collide. Wheeee!! I think everyone loves the "kata" for this track.

That's all for today... oh and before the class I did 10 minutes on the Stepper... didn't really feel anything. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Day 162

Felt a slight strain on my calves, and yes, the muscle there is like "hardened" so that when I walk around I can actually feel a LUMP shaking about inside my calves, wtf. Went for just a simple 20 minute round on the strider on Sunday before heading off for shopping! Hehheh. No recurrences of the "frozen calf muscle" incident, so I should be okay. :)

Day 61

Guess what? I finally did it! People of Jaya 33, get ready cuz whether you like it or not, a slimy creature called Leech will be joining all of you. =B

Yes, yes, I finally upgraded! The total plan was not totally beneficial to me, but I guess it's somewhat fair also la. *sulks* I got lots of free stuff though, so that's good. Anyway, the important thing is that I can start gymming tomorrow at Jaya 33 also if I choose to do so. Omg, why am I so stupid, I forgot to take the October schedules!

The reasons why I decided to upgrade :
+ over the long haul, it's cheaper. MUCH cheaper
+ free parking also, like Taipan
+ on the way home from work, toll is cheaper by RM1.60. ;p
+ schedulling differences. I usually skip Tues - Thurs because there's a lack of classes that I like / can make it in time for. Now I can gym practically EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK, omg!
+ certain classes being available there e.g: Dance Mania, MTV Jam (I know they have it in Taipan too, but the timing is totally out for me)
+ schedule for weekends is nicer at Jaya 33
+ the swimming pooooooooool!!!
+ the people!

Good enough for me la. Especially the cheaper part! Anyway, I will probably start Jaya 33 workout tomorrow.

Anyway, remember me saying that there's no Dance Mania in Taipan? Well I just found out today that Body Jam (before this was with Farah) is now replaced with Dance Mania with Ernest. Haha... so now I can do Dance Mania on Tuesdays and Saturdays! *happy* I don't know why I'm so into dance anyway since I'm not good at it. But I reckon that at least I have somewhat a sense of rhythm. I get quite annoyed with people who seemingly don't even bother keeping count (or at least, sense the beat in the music) when dancing. I don't mean to sound like a picky person and when I dance, I do aim to have fun and I don't care about the "itty bitty" perfectionist techniques. But keeping count isn't itty bitty! It's like, a main component in dance! Otherwise why go for class to learn choreo? Dance in the room also can lose calories what. Then you can move to whatever beat it is that you're hearing.

But I digress, the class was quite different from Danny's one. Not saying which is better, though. :P Ernest's class had stronger movements ... more hip hop I reckon. The songs that he played ... sounds Korean / Japanese, I don't really know. When we're learning the steps, he would play Play That Funky Music , White Boy. Hahah, that's a really nice song to dance to actually.

Too many face-offs though. I hate face-offs because I can't look at myself in the mirror. And people get confused because the instructor is no longer their mirror image. Etc etc etc. Hell breaks loose.

But it was still a very fun class! I really enjoyed myself, really got a good workout there. Eager to come back next week and see what's next.

Did 15 minutes on the cardio wave, listening to my ipod. Realised that I have to update my workout playlist, as I used to choose songs suitable for running. Apparently even Enrique Iglesias's Escape is good for running. (Actually, if you think about it, during the chorus, it's a very run-nable song! Try it before you diss it!) A really good song for the cardio wave is Welcome to the Jungle by Guns & Roses. You do your usual thang on the cardio wave, and during the chorus, you can lean forward (butt jut out) and then squat lower to work on the thighs. Fuuh! Another super good workout here. After 15 minutes I'm perspiring all over, like I just came out of Hot Yoga...

Finally, time for conditioning. Not much because I didn't have much time.
a. 100 sit-ups (50 normal, 50 butterfly style)
b. 30 push-ups (no tricep push-ups, mainly because I STILL DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT)
c. 3 sets of bicep curls
d. 3 sets of tricep extensions

Tomorrow I'll try to work on the chest and back. =)

Day 55

I'm proud that I'm kinda getting back into the gym groove again. This September's total amount of times I went to the gym is high --- my original target actually, and what more, I am slowly starting to ENJOY more and more of my classes. I enjoy the whole gym experience, from working out alone in the women's area, or doing cardio on the machines, or going for classes. I no longer get bitter like I used to when I missed classes because there's so much more for me to do. =) So yes, I'm very proud of my effort this month.

Just that the darn weight doesn't go down! I don't even PIG OUT that much anymore. Actually with reference to my last post, I actually want to complain more about the ASSUMPTIONS the trainers made about me, but more on that another day. I don't like to dwell on things that I don't want to think about.

Today's work out --- Body Attack with Jason + Brian + Prudent. Why so many instructors!?! Damn intimidating, especially when I - first time doing the new release for BA - chose to stand at the back, and mana tahu, Prudent was standing at the back. -___- Well, at least that meant that if I couldn't catch up, I could just look to my side and can be 100% sure that the choreo is correct. =)

I really felt like fainting in Body Attack! So long since I have done Body Attack, what more with a new release. It's not like the new release is ultra difficult, it's just that when you're familiar with a certain release's choreography, you know when to really go "all out" and when you need to lay off a little because you know the next track is going to be more intense. Had to go for water breaks after every set, even after warm up! I like the latest "conditioning" track though - no tricep push ups! :P :P

Anyway, a really enjoyable class. After that, I chillaxed at the lounge for a bit, reading my Agatha Christie crime novels. A guilty pleasure since young. It was a bit intimidating chilling there though, because there were consultants and potential new gym members ALL around the area. There were no other gym members relaxing there. Where do these people go? It is so unlike my old gym, FF @ Consplant. I was so confounded that I actually had to ask the receptionist if the area was for everyone's usage or only for the consultants to use. :P I was only there for about 30 minutes anyway, before heading back for more working out.

I did 15 minutes on the cardio wave machine, and sweat was pouring out from every crevice. I don't know whether because it's more intense than my usual crosstrainer machine, or if it was the hot sun pouring in through the window, but I don't care. =p After that was weight training :
a) 100 situps (50 normal style, 50 butterfly style)
b) 3 sets of leg press
c) 3 sets bicep curls
d) 3 sets tricep extension
e) 50 grasshoppers! But I don't think it really works the glutes. I'll try something else next time...

Fearing a more intense weight training in the evening (training session with PT), I then went off to bathe and go home to watch StarCeleb. I watch this show because I sorta know (but they dunno me) 3 of the contestants (one of them is none other than our Body Jam instructor). My god, but some of the other contestants were really embarrassing themselves on TV. @_@ Even my mom tak tahan to watch the show any further, so I really don't know if I want to make any further efforts of cutting my gym-ming short just to watch another crappy reality TV show. @_@

Anyway, I went back to the gym at 8pm for PT. As usual, I did the crosstrainer by myself first... 15 minutes and now my heart rate doesn't shoot up to 200 anymore. This means better stamina, yo! Bad news is that the trainer then came and said today's session is cancelled. My God. During the "counseling to add more training sessions" talk on Friday, he said that he cannot help me if I don't add in more sessions, but is this commitment when he is the one who always cancels classes? Ok la, if within reason, I can still accept. BUT WHY YOU DIDN'T CALL IN ADVANCE TO TELL ME CLASS IS CANCELED? I am quite disappointed lor.

But as usual, I just swallowed my anger and just let it go. If this continues, I'm really not going to pei meen the next time. I worked out a bit more after that --- 3 sets of chest press, but really no mood already. You know, it's about 5km from my house to the gym. Maybe not far to you, but driving back and forth and back and forth is craziness. I would not have done so if I knew there was not going to be any training session.

Clearly I have made a mistake deciding to go for personal training. I will tell you more next time.

Day 53

I really love the crosstrainer machine. I can do it for quite some time now without getting too tired like how it was the 1st time. =) But I still keep at 20 minutes because I'm not blessed with a lot of time to workout. You should know that it is a daily struggle for me - Tired From Work Leech vs Eager to Lose Weight Leech. Sometimes I'm sneaky and I say, "Ok la, I'll take the route that passes the gym, but I'll only circulate the area ONCE for parking. If no parking then I'm going home, mwahaha!" But guess what? I think "someone up there" really wants me to lose weight because I've been getting real good parking spots in Taipan .. FOR NOW. This is considered amazing (you'd know if go there often).

Anyway, after the cross training for 20 minutes, I decided that was enough for the day. Yes! Wednesday's have no good group x classes EARLY. I hate classes finishing at 10-something and me arriving home at 11-something. @_@ Gym *really* tires me out, and I need my beauty sleep. As it is, I ALWAYS wake up late for work on days that I work out. Damn scary.

Back to the story --- I thought that was that for the day, but I winded up working out on my abs (Again!). 50x normal and 50x "butterfly style". Then still felt gung-ho, so I worked on my leg extensions (oh yea, the previous day, I worked on my leg curls. =p Forgot to mention).

Then did my bicep curls and tricep extensions, thus feeling thoroughly worked out. =p And guess who I bumped into? My prefects juniors from high school - erm.. Aaron F and Ong JS. It was cool to meet them... been bumping into tonnes of people from high school and work here. College crowd flew to god knows where. Heh.

It was great to see those 2 again! They look really fit, must suss out what their workout-style is like...

Day 52

Skipped gym on Monday because of heavy workout the previous day + work. So I definitely had to go on Tuesday, although I hmm-ed and haw-ed over it quite a lot because there's not much group-x classes that I like on that day. =\ But how could I have forgotten? There's Body Jam. I don't know whose class it's supposed to be originally, but Farah took over, and on this particular day, Tina took over from Farah. =p The takeover of the takeover.

Before the class started, forgetful me was going, "Why am I here? Do I like the new release? This will be my second time doing it... erm... did I say I like it? I remember writing that I like it." So on and so forth. @_@ But once the music started playing, I DEFINITELY REMEMBER LOVING IT. Gosh, one of my favourite releases (but not of all time). I'm really loving cardio club now. =)

I found this girl's really nice write up on the latest release. I don't like the warm-up because it's TOO simple, Tambourine is really nice but some of the heel turns can get quite complicated. Sometimes I act aunty-ish and wonder if I could twist my ankle dancing to this choreo. :P I REALLY love the Latin track, I like it when it's slow and romantic, and I like it when Jennifer Lopez gets loud and our movement becomes bigger and more dramatic. =) One and Only (the OTHER fall out boy track in the latest releases) is great to dance to when you're more familiar with the steps, otherwise beware of accidents galore in the class! I really like this track because you can really get a good work out here. Still need to get a hang of the chest pumping action during Do It Again though.

Jam De Podium is a cool performance track, I wish I could get a hang of the bounce though. If you can't, don't just stand back and drink your water, just jump along, everyone has fun in this track.

And lastly, although I do not like Shakira & Beyonce's Beautiful Liar, I think the choreography for our cool down is very sexy - great to dance to. =) You should've seen how everyone persuaded Tina to do the cool down (she thought of skipping it because she came in a little late - which is understandable when you're the last minute replacement instructor). Heh!

Before Body Jam, I worked out for 20 minutes on the crosstrainer, and after the class, I did my 100 sit ups. 50x normal and 50x "butterfly" style. Mmm... I think that's all for that day. Was a pretty good workout. =)

Day 51

More training today! I actually went to the gym after I came back from Midvalley. I did 20 minutes on this crosstrainer machine, but it had more of an incline than the one that I'm used to. So it's kinda a mix between crosstrainer and stepper. Anyway, I watched this hilarious MTV show called "Wanna Come In", and it's DAMN F*CKING STUPID. Omg. If you've never watched it before, let me tell you what its about. It's about two "duds" aka hopeless-with-girls guys, who will be coached by two "studs" aka playas on how to get a girl. The studs will each find a really hot girl (debatable sometimes) and match them up with the dud. From the dud calling the gal up for a date til the date itself, the stud will guide them all the way through.

Of course, nothing goes so simply for this MTV show, and to earn money (for both stud and dud if the challenge is performed successfully), MTV will throw them some hardball by asking the dud to perform some weird task DURING the date. If they perform correctly, they can earn a sum of money for both stud and dud. But if they don't get asked to go into the house at the end of the date, then they earn NOTHING. The challenges are designed to make the guys look stupid and psychotic la, so it really will make the girl think twice before asking him into the house. Gosh, I wonder if any dud ever succeeded? This round one had :
a. cough continuously for 20 seconds
b. ask the waiter to change chairs for you... TWICE
c. reenact a play with the salt and pepper shakers for 20 seconds

Anyway, one of the "hotties" was a real bitch anyway. Geez... the way she acts and the way I act on a first date is totally different, didn't know that girls like that existed. Damn funny to watch anyway.

Damn bodoh! Anyway, why am I talking more about this show than the actual gym experience? Hahhaha...

Went home JUST to catch Star Celeb on tV, and it was real boring. Don't know if I want to bother next week. After that, had to drive back for training. This time, concentrated on the back and biceps. It was quite cool, got to try different machines this time around. Erm, I suck big time at the arm curl. Although it's supposed to be working out the biceps, I could only do it at 2.5kg... and barely even then! For the bicep curl, I can lift 7.5kgs. =\ Anyway, for the fat loss program, we are doing things with many reps but with low weights.

Finished the day with 50 situps and 50 butterflyz. =]
Where's my 6-pack!! :X
